Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Crème…try saying that one three times fast.
Peter Thomas Roth is yet another one of those brands that I’ve walked by at Sephora a million times, but never tried. Well, I had the chance to try a few products recently, so I am no longer a PTR virgin.
The Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Crème (MRIAACC going forward, for the sake of this post), is a seriously intense moisturizer…as the name suggests.
First, here’s some of the marketing spiel: “Collagen and elastin help tone, smooth and lift skin reducing the appearance of fine lines and the severity of deep wrinkles. Skin becomes smoother, more hydrated, firmer and regains a more youthful looking appearance.”
The product is meant to be used morning and night, but as I mentioned in my last moisturizer review, I only wear moisturizer with SPF during the day, so I’ve been using the MRIAACC as a night cream. The scent is nothing to report on (which I consider a good thing) and it is one of the thickest facial moisturizers I’ve ever tried. The consistency almost reminds me of a body butter.
I’ve been using the MRIAACC for a couple of weeks, and I can definitely say that my face is nice and moisturized when I wake up in the morning. However, I think this is probably best for the colder months — when the temps went up last week, I started feeling like it was a little too heavy at times. But if you’re someone with seriously dry skin and are looking for something anti-aging, I’d highly recommend MRIAACC. I don’t know that you’ll find a richer cream out there.
At $85 for a 1.7 oz. container, this is definitely an investment (although by no means the priciest on the market). But if you have the right skin type for it, I think you’ll be very pleased with the results.
Have you tried any Peter Thomas Roth products that you love?
